Set of Six Georgian Teaspoons by Mitchell & Russell of Glasgow 1821. These top quality George VI antique sterling silver teaspoons are in the classic fiddle pattern. There are no personal markings on the spoons, other than the hallmarks. Total weight 80 grams “approximately”. Although based on an original Roman design (there’s one in the Esquiline Treasure in the British Museum), it didn’t really start to appear in England until the second half of the 18th century and became the dominant design in the 19th century.
